I already blogged about my birthday present from Vinny (read about that here) and I've been using it a lot.
My family came last weekend and got me an ice cream maker that we've been putting to good use. They also helped me do a TON of yardwork and get the yard looking good. I promise I'll post about that soon, I'm just still tinkering a bit out there. We had an awesome lunch with all of my favorite foods from childhood and we took a walk down memory lane looking through old photos.
But my favorite thing so far has been this:
How did you take your 30th birthday? Or, if you haven't hit it yet, are you dreading it or looking forward to it?
My 30th birthday was more than ten years ago. I thought I would be really upset about that milestone but I wasn't. Twenty-nine was harder actually! I don't even remember what I did for that birthday.
ReplyDeleteMy 40th was great. I definitely had moments before and after where I had that pit of regret in my stomach for time, things, love and people lost, but overall I decided to use it as an opportunity to look forward rather than back. My DH took me on a wonderful trip to Charleston and did all sorts of wonderful, romantic things for me. It made me wish I could turn 40 every year!

Like you, I celebrated with one of my favorite foods... fondue! My friend Heather hosted the party and everyone brought the fondue pots that they had received as wedding gifts and never used. We had about 10 different kinds of cheese and chocolate fondues. Yum!
